A great idea which has already been attempted on a plethora of sites such as http://www.howtomendit.com, http://www.diyfaq.org.uk and http://www.fixyourownprinter.com.
Perhaps the issue here, as with other ideas where sites already exist, is one of visibility. To this end we’re considering the best way to present a signposting site/page to direct users to the many great, free consumer-oriented services that are out there. So, watch this space!
